Dental Implant

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth. They are surgically placed into the jawbone and provide a strong foundation for a replacement tooth or bridge. With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime and improve your overall oral health.

Dental implants are completed in a series of procedures. First, the dental implant is surgically placed in your jaw bone.  Over the period of the next three to six months, the implant post integrates with the surrounding bone.  After this time, you will return to the surgeon that placed the implant to ensure integration.

Once the implant integration is complete you will see your dentist for impressions.  The impressions then allow for a custom made abutment and crown to be formed to create a natural-looking and functional replacement tooth that will be fitted at your final appointment.

The entire implant process can take six to nine months, but the end result is a long-lasting and durable solution for missing teeth.
